Susie’s Angel was born out of a legacy of generosity and a heart full of love. Carolyn Oglesby, the founder, grew up watching her mother feed not only her family of 11 daughters but also neighbors and friends who had nowhere else to turn. Carolyn’s mother lived by one mantra: giving to others is the greatest gift.

When Carolyn lost her mother at just 16, she vowed to carry on her mother’s legacy of selfless service. Fast forward to 2005, and Susie’s Angel became her way of honoring her mother’s memory and spreading her values to those in need.

One of Susie’s Angel’s most impactful initiatives is the "Home 4 the Winter" campaign, an ambitious project aimed at purchasing Barrows Villa, a safe haven for women and children. But this isn’t just a shelter—it’s a launchpad. At Barrows Villa, families don’t just find warmth; they find opportunities to rebuild their lives.
