The Home 4 the Winter campaign is more than a fundraiser—it’s the heart and soul of Help Keep Me Out The Streets, Inc. (HKMOTS), a nonprofit rooted in service and love.
The Vision of Founder Carolyn OglesbyThis journey began with Carolyn Oglesby, the baby of 11 girls, whose heart to serve came from her mother. Carolyn grew up watching her mother feed not only her 11 daughters but also their friends and neighbors, despite barely having enough for her own family. Her mother’s selflessness left an indelible mark, and though Carolyn lost her mom at just 16, she carried her legacy forward.
In 2005, Carolyn founded Susie’s Angels in honor of her mother—a tribute to the woman who taught her that giving to others is the greatest gift. What started as small acts of kindness, like adopting families…

The Home 4 the Winter campaign aims to raise $500,000 by February 14, 2025 for the building of the HKMOTS Land. Funds will help purchase Barrows Villa to provide temporary shelter for 7 families, along with a 6-month career development program to empower them toward self-sufficiency. Your support will help create a safe, stable future for families in need.
